Team Alf's Kawasaki were fastest in first qualifying, with a time of 1:16.141, Team Force Suzuki (1:17.130) were second , Neate Racing Honda (1:18.160) were third, Team Classic Suzuki (1:18.852) fourth and the No.4 Sweatshop Phase One Suzuki (1:19.168) fifth.

Team Force

As expected, some of the 'reserve' teams have out qualified the fastest UK based entrants, with Classic Racer Nice Kawasaki 7th overall and Team Taurus Suzuki 8th. Fastest Endurance Legends qualifiers are Luigi Moto Ducati (1:21.102) in 10th place overall and Team Ibonhart Suzuki (1:21.878) in 11th overall.

Neate racing

The track is still cold and greasy and several of the leading riders have said that it is very difficult to get a clear lap given the number of teams trying to qualify and the difference in speed between the fastest and the slowest bikes, which is in some cases as much as 30 seconds per lap.

Team Classic Suzuki

The event as a whole is proving very popular, with the paddock displays constantly busy and the car parks filling up by lunchtime despite a temprature around 7 degrees Celsius. At least the rain has stopped now.
