Notable absentees include SRC Kawasaki who are currently second in the championship table, just three points behind leaders SERT Suzuki; this gives SERT a chance to build on their disappointing Le Mans result and pull clear of SRT Kawasaki. GMT94 Yamaha, FCC TSR Honda and YART Yamaha will also be looking to regain championship advantage at Oschersleben.
Interesting wildcard entries include the Experimental class BMW HP4 of KSB One Racing from Finland, with riders Raimo Kesseli, Tapio Nevala and Magnus Collin. There is an Aprilia RSV4 entered in the EWC class by Aprilia Grebenstien (Uhlig, Finsterbusch, Scheffel) and a Ducati Panigale entered in the SST class by Frostbeulen Racing (Baecker, Mester, Mockenhaupts) will go head to head with the Panigale of Hertrampf-Racing Ducati Endurance (Skach, Nekvasil, Jones).
Finally, our one to watch is the Moto-Tech-EWC Honda CBR100RR-SP of Van Keymeulen, Duwlez and Buchner.
The race takes place next Saturday, the 20th of May.
